Privacy policy

This page explains what data Storioscope collects, why it is used and how you can exercise your choices.

Data collected

• Information entered to create a reading: first name or nickname, age, gender if provided, questionnaire answers and story preferences.
• Your email address only when you ask to save a reading, sign in, join the premium waiting list or receive a link.
• Limited technical information, such as the IP address, request date and security logs, to protect the service and prevent abuse.

Use of data

Data is used to generate your Storioscope, retrieve your history when you sign in, send login codes, manage the premium waiting list, improve service quality and secure the application.

Public portraits on the home page

At the end of a Storioscope, you can explicitly choose to make your first name, narrative sign, portrait title and a short excerpt public. This choice is off by default and can be withdrawn at any time from the reading. Email, age, gender and questionnaire answers are never shown on the home page.

Advertising and third-party providers

Storioscope plans to use Google AdSense only on the home page, public editorial pages and certain free-result pages. No visible advertising slot is enabled until the site is approved. No ads are shown during the questionnaire or on premium, payment, account, login, administration, Love or sensitive pages.

Google and its third-party advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, pixels, IP addresses, device information or other identifiers to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud and, only with your consent, personalize advertising based on previous visits.

Consent and cookies

Advertising purposes are denied by default. The AdSense script loads on an authorized page only after your consent. Accepting and rejecting are equally easy, and you can keep using Storioscope if you refuse.

For visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, personalized advertising also requires a Google-certified consent management platform compatible with the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework. Storioscope must not enable such delivery until this configuration is operational in AdSense.

Change my advertising choices

Data sharing

Data is not sold. It may be processed by providers required to operate the site, including hosting, email delivery, artificial-intelligence analysis and, after consent on authorized pages, Google and its advertising partners.

Retention period

Readings and accounts are retained while useful to the service or until deletion is requested. Login codes expire quickly. Technical logs are retained only for the limited period required for security.
